O’Leary decided not to hold a news conference to make his announcement. Instead he chose social media and interviews with selected media.
He has thrown his hat into the ring competing against 13 lower-profile candidates. Two former Conservative ministers, such Jason Kenney and Peter MacKay have declined to run for the leadership of their country.
Although Trudeau remains popular in polls, O’Leary says he is “destroying” Canada with debt. O’Leary said, “I’m going to be his worst nightmare.” It is known that the candidate has been thinking about running during the last few months. He said that Canada was the “land of opportunity.” O’Leary said, “That’s the promise of Canada. It always has been. Somehow we’ve lost that. It’s been squandered. And there’s a reason – his name is Justin Trudeau.”
Mr. Wonderful, as he is known on “Shark Tank” said, “Today, with you, I’m starting my journey to do something special for him. I’m going to help him find his real calling in 2019 – cause it’s not running Canada. He doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
