Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Have Chosen First Home

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Making Plans

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle will marry and then make Nottingham Cottage their first home. It is situated on the grounds of Kensington Palace. This house, it is reported, is where the prince proposed to Meghan, in the kitchen, while they were roasting a chicken.

First Home is Not a Palace

Most people would assume this house is built for royalty; however, it is reported that it is in no way ‘posh.’ In fact, it is also reported that the home has a number of problems. Although the square footage is not public knowledge, it is said that the place is ‘tiny.’ It has two bedrooms and two reception rooms. Some royalty might gasp when they learn there is only one bathroom in the house.

Another Issue – the Low Ceilings

Prince William once lived at Nottingham. It is reported the 6-foot-3 prince was required to ‘stoop’ to avoid banging his head. This indicated the ceilings, or doorframes, or whatever are probably just six feet high.

Another surprising quality is that the cottage does not have air conditioning. Although it does not get super hot in England, it can still get very warm. Vanity Fair reported that Kate Middleton found the home to get extremely hot. This resulted in fans being installed in every room.

One other consideration is the small yard that goes with the small house. This might cause a problem for Meghan as she owns two large dogs. Well, they will just not be able to run about as much as they once did.

Like most newlyweds it looks like these two will start out small; however, most likely they will one day end up living in a palace.
