However, on July 4th, 1826, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died. James Monroe died on July 4th, 1831. Washington and James Madison were the only presidents who signed the Constitution. James Madison stood 5’4″ and weighed 100 pounds. Abraham Lincoln and Lyndon B. Johnson both stood 6’4″ tall.
