Money Raised for Vote Recount in Three Key States

Just When You Thought the Election was Over, Well…

Isn’t Donald Trump our president-elect? Well, that’s what we’ve been told since November 8. But, just when we thought the election was over Green Party Candidate Jill Stein has raised money to have a vote recount in three battleground states. The party wants this recount in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania – the real muscle states. They want it done before the election results are certified.

Wisconsin’s deadline to recount is tomorrow. So, Stein and her running mate, Ajamu Baraka set out to raise $2.5 million to cover the costs in the three states. Early today the goal was attained.

Stein said, “What i think all Americans can agree on, and what I consider worthy of working for right now, is creating a voting system that we can trust. There are glaring red flags right now about this voting system.” She stressed the unsubstantiated claims that electronic voting machines might have been hacked or manipulated.

J Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society said, “The fact that the results in the three states was different from what polls predicted was “probably not” down to hacking. Concerns over possible Russian interference had been expressed in the run-up to the vote. The only way to know whether a cyberattack changed the result is to closely examine the available physical evidence .”

One can only wonder, if the votes should then award the electoral votes to Hillary Clinton, she then becomes the president-elect?
