Grammy Awards to be Given February 12


Grammy Awards, 2017 the 59th Show


Grammy Awards, 59, will be telecast this Sunday at 8pm (EST). The event will be telecast, by CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The yearly ceremony is to honor of the best musical recordings, compositions, and artists. The eligibility process, for the awards, started October 1, 2015 and ended on September 30, 2016. The names of the nominees were given on December 6 of last year.

James Corden will host the awards for the first time this year. The English actor, writer, producer, comedian, television host and singer also is the host of “The Late Late show with James Corden.”

To no ones surprise, singer Beyonce received the most nominations. Also known as Queen B, she received nine nominations. The singer, along with Drake each received eight nominations for their creative albums. Chance the Rapper has received six nominations for his work. He has been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album. Following, with five nominations, is Adele. Two of her nominations are for the Best Song of the Year and Best Record of the Year. “Hello” one of the hits from her album 25 topped the charts for many weeks.

Many talented artists will be recognized for their hard work during the Grammy’s. The program will also feature some outstanding performances.
