Bellagio Hotel Jewelry Store Robbed

The Bellagio Hotel jewelry store was attacked by three well-dressed masked burglars early today. The robbers used sledgehammers to smash their way into the exclusive jewelry store. Following the robbery, at one of Las Vegas’ most luxurious hotels, authorities locked down parts of the Bellagio Resort & Casino. This resulted in panicked guests trying to escape the gambling facility in order to get outside.

One Suspect is in the Custody of Police


Aside from sledgehammers it is believed that one robber was carrying a gun. One of the three men, all wearing suits, had on a pig mask according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Carlos Hank. Conflicting information says the police have three suspects in custody and they are being interviewed by investigators. Other reports say one suspect is in custody while police search for the other two. No one was injured during the robbery. Police said it is too early to put a price tag on what was stolen.

The high-priced jewelry store is located in the basement of the Bellagio. It is known for its expensive merchandise of Rolex products.

The three robbers tried to escape in their car, following the robbery, but it wouldn’t start. Next they tried to steal a get-away car but that was not successful. Finally, the three tried to escape on foot.
