Toothache Day – a Day for Celebration?
Toothache Day! Is this a day of celebration? No, today is actually the day it is celebrated although not about having a painful toothache. Toothache Day is about education and awareness. It is about helping people to learn how to prevent a toothache from happening and how to make one go away – quickly!
This is a day to promote good dental health as well as share knowledge. Just to be respectful, maybe you will want to save that Snicker’s bar to eat until tomorrow. Ummm, that piece of chocolate cake, well, just think before you start shoving it into your mouth. Maybe the taste isn’t as great, but, you might consider replacing these delicious snacks with a healthier one such as a carrot, a celery stick, or a freshly picked tomato from your garden.
Toothache day is a great time to learn, as well as teach, the best way to take care of your teeth. Aside from brushing in the morning, and again at night, you will also want to floss and rinse with a nice mouthwash. The key to successful teeth health is to visit your dentist on a regular basis. Your dentist will watch out for much more than your teeth as s/he will also check for gum and oral diseases. Everyone should know that poor dental care can affect your overall health as well. So, how is the best way to celebrate this day? Of course, without a toothache!
