Trump Attacks Hillary Clinton Over Re-Count
President-elect Donald Trump, who might one day be nicknamed, ‘The Twitterer” is at it again. This time he is attacking Hillary Clinton, and the Democrats, for joining the Green Party’s efforts for a re-count of the election in three states.
The Green Party is basing part of this re-count decision based on a small group of computer scientists and election lawyers claiming they have evidence that voting machines could have been manipulated in order to help Trump win the election. The party is focusing on three key states: Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
Wisconsin has already started the recounting process. Michigan and Pennsylvania may soon begin the process after Jill Stein, candidate for the Green Party, raised more than $6 million to pay for the re-count.
Trump started his twittering on Saturday evening when he wrote, “the Green Party scam to fill up their coffers by asking for impossible recounts is now being joined by the badly defeated and demoralized Dems.” A few hours later he tweeted, “The Democrats, when they incorrectly thought they were going to win, asked that the election night tabulation be accepted. Not so anymore!” He said, “Hillary Clinton conceded the election when she called me just prior to the victory speech and after the results were in. Nothing will change.”
Trump said that his rival, prior to election day, said that it was “horrifying” that he would not promise to accept the election outcome.
Clinton won the popular vote by more than two million votes; however, the surprising results, in the three Midwestern states, resulted in giving Trump the win.
