Ivanka Trump Will “Fill-in” While Melania is in NY
Ivanka Trump, daughter of President-elect Donald Trump may fill in as First Lady when Trump’s wife, Melania is spending time in New York, it has been claimed. Trump’s wife plans to stay on in New York so their son, Barron, can finish his final year at a prestigious primary school.
This Situation Has Caused Speculation that Ivanka May Step In
As a result of Melania living in New York, there is speculation that Ivanka may step in for some of Melania’s duties in Washington. The News Corp reported that the Trump’s daughter could be given some type of advising role in the administration. This week Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, will probably be appointed as a Senior Advisor to the president.
Ivanka has been in the same room when her dad has met with people from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Al Gore. However, she announced in a 60 Minutes interview, that she did not want a formal job in her father’s administration. She said, “I’m going to be a daughter. But I’ve said throughout the campaign that I am very passionate about certain issues. And that I want to fight for them. So, you know there are a lot of things that I feel deeply, strongly about. But not in a formal administrative capacity.”
