Girlfriend of Las Vegas Murderer Returns
Girlfriend of Las Vegas murderer, Marilou Daney, 62, has returned from the Philippines after assuring her family that her ‘conscience is clear’ following her boyfriends’ massacre in Las Vegas. It has been reported that Daney returned to the US in a bid to ‘clear her name’ of any involvement in the massacre. The girlfriend’s sisters have insisted she was unaware of Stephen Paddock’s motives. Paddock killed 58 people attending a concert, and then killed himself. He injured more than 500.
Sisters Said, “He Sent Her Away”
Amelia Manango and Liza Werner, both living in Australia, told Seven News, during an interview, “She is a good person” who would’ve stopped Paddock had she been there. I know that she don’t know anything as well like us. She was sent away. She was sent away so that she will not be there to interfere with what he’s planning.” According to the sisters Paddock had told their sister that he had found ‘cheap flights’ to her home nation two weeks before the shooting. one sister said, “He sent her away so that he can plan what he is planning without interruptions. In that sense, I thank him for sparing my sister’s life, but that won’t be able to compensate the 59 people’s lives.”
It is not known what type of relationship Danley and Paddock had. It has been reported that Paddock berated his girlfriend at their local Starbucks. Esperanza Mendoza, a supervisor at Starbucks, said the abuse “happened a lot.” Danley would ask to use the casino card to purchase their drinks. Paddock reportedly reacted by saying things such as, “You don’t need my casino card for this. I’m paying for your drink, just like I’m paying for you,” Mendoza said.
Danley has not been charged with a crime although she has been listed as a person of interest.
