Dr. Keith Ablow Says Trump is Master of Squabbles
Dr. Keith Ablow, psychiatrist and member of the Fox News Medical A-Team, asks, “What’s really going on in Trump’s Mind?” His answer is simple, “It’s not what you think.” He then referred to Trump’s fixation on the large number of people attending his inauguration. To Trump, this is not the issue, the issue is that Trump is already several steps ahead of the journalists, who once again are heralding the president’s seeming preoccupation with the issue. Ablow says that President Trump is not such a personality that he needs others to acknowledge that a huge number turned out to honor him.
Dr. Keith Ablow Calls Trump’s Behavior, “Calculated”
Dr. Keith Ablow says, “Everything Donald Trump does is strategically calculated to achieve a goal. His communication is designed not to simply convey his gut feelings, but to make people focus on one thing – call it a decoy – so he can do six other things while they’re distracted.”
in this specific situation the president has masterfully used the media’s innocence to make them focus on a ‘throwaway battle.’ This is his seeming obsession with crowd size. White causing the distraction he then does what he does care about such as signing orders regarding the pipeline, fixing our immigration laws, working on health care, and preparing to build the wall.
Ablow clarifies that when Trump says something like, “If I were you I would take your camera and look at the size of the crowd.” What he is saying is, “let’s debate the crowd size. otherwise you might ask me questions about my real and historically powerful plans and ideas, which I don’t trust you to report on fairly, anyhow.”
Ablow predicts, “The rest of us, over the next 90 days or eight years, will watch Trump masterfully ignite one squabble after another that the members of the press fall all over themselves to engage in, while he remakes the world.”
