Canadian Taxpayers Federation Evaluating Trudeau
As the United States looks forward to electing a new president on Tuesday, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is weighing in on Justin Trudeau as he completes his first year in office.
Aaron Wudrick, the CTF Director, concludes it is more expensive for Candians now in their daily living. He said that although the government has introduced some tax cuts these have been outweighed by many new tax increases resulting with a larger day to day impact on the citizens.
The news wasn’t all bad for Trudeau and his Liberal party. Wudrick adds a very positive with the transparency and accountability on a few tasks. However, he counteracts that by saying the spending mostly outweighs these points. He said his group is concerned about the total amount of money the federal government is spending. However, they are leaving the door open and remain optimistic things can change.
