600 Pound Woman Gives Birth in Perth
600 pound woman gives birth – a woman in Perth surprised everyone around her at Perth’s King Edward Memorial Hospital. Why? Well, she gave birth to a record-breaking weight of a newborn with the boy weighing in at 40-pounds. This makes the baby possibly the largest baby ever born. This is equivalent to five babies each weighing eight pounds – and an eight pound baby is big! A hospital spokesman confirmed the baby remains in a healthy state.
The mother was given a surgical incision in her abdomen and uterus. This was done in order to prevent any harm to the baby and mother’s health. The doctor performing the delivery believed the woman was pregnant with twins, or, possibly triplets. He told reporters, “I have dealt with other women suffering from obesity before but this birth will stick with me until I die.” Instead of two or three babies the doctor laughingly commented, “but no, it was just one big sturdy guy. He obviously has a career as a future rugby player.”
Prior to this birth the largest recorded baby in the world was thought to be a South African baby who is believed to have weighed 38 pounds at birth. The young boy, of Zulu origin, was born in 1839. By the time he celebrated his 18th birthday he had already grown to seven feet, six inches in height.
